Swimmer Series
Jeannie has made a name for herself with her award-winning, photorealistic Swimmer Series. These paintings reflect her love of color and abstraction created by the movement of the body in water. In fact, it’s not uncommon to hear, “Is it a painting or a photograph?” in response to these larger-than-life pieces.
Urban Series
The expansive glass window displays in cities like New York, Washington D.C., and Miami offer similar reflective and refractive qualities to the water of the pool. Through her Urban Series, Jeannie has been able to explore the worlds of high-end fashion, fine dining, and visual marketing as viewed the way only she knows how.
Nostalgia Series
Over the years, Jeannie has also employed her photorealistic style to capture particular moments and render them as scenes almost as if from a memory or even a dream. This collection still includes Jeannie’s signature use of light, color, and abstraction but also offers new subject matter distinct from her Urban and Swimmer Series.
Cold Wax Series
In addition to her more realistic works, Jeannie plays with the explicitly abstract through cold wax painting. These pieces are made by blending acrylic paint with wax and applying the mixture to the canvas in layers which are then manipulated with various tools to achieve composition and texture.
